If you've got questions about metal roofing, you've come to the right place. This is a list of the questions we're most frequently asked when it comes to metal roof installation, maintenance, and repair.

Is there a Warranty with my metal roof?
Yes. Your metal roof will come with a 40 year warranty on the metal in addition to a 1 year warranty on labor.

My House currently has shingles, do those have to be removed?
Yes. It is preferred to remove the shingles before installing the new metal roof, especially if there's more than 1 layer of Shingles. Sometimes, depending on the condition of the shingles, if it's just 1 layer, you can install metal right on top of it.

Will the color of the roof fade over time?
If you choose the 40 year metal, it will not fade. This is a quality product that lasts.

Will I need bigger gutters after my new metal roof?
6" gutters are recommended because of how fast the water runs off of the metal roof surface. We can provide recommendations if you want to upgrade your gutters.

Do you have to replace the screws down the road?
In some cases, you may need to replace the screws, but a lot of this depends on the amount of sun and elements hitting them. If your roof is in shade part of the day, then the screws will last much longer.

How thick is the metal?
Typically a residential home will use 29 gauge metal while commercial buildings will use a 26 or 24 gauge metal. If you prefer a thicker material for your home, we can install that, but normally, materials cost more at that point for the thicker material.

Metal Roof vs Shingles
In today's world of construction there are great shingle products as well as great metal products out there. One thing that helps metal, in our opinion, is that it's more durable and holds up better to the wind that we can see in East Tennessee from time to time.

How soon can you start my project?
Obviously this can vary depending upon several factors, but generally, we can start within 2-3 weeks.
